Terms And Conditions

The closing date for entries is midnight on 30th November 2017. Entries will only be registered on the receipt of a full entry form and payment of the appropriate entry fee. Entries completed after the closing date will not be considered.

The entry fee for each product is £325.00 +VAT = £390.00 and payable on receipt of entry form. A report detailing the judges’ feedback can be obtained for each entry at an additional cost of £40 + VAT = £48. Payment by BACS or cheque in favour of the British Frozen Food Federation.

BFFF reserves the right to extend the closing deadline, amend categories or not award categories should the entries received not reach the required standard.

This awards scheme is exclusive to members of the British Frozen Food Federation and only entries from businesses that are members at the time of entry will be considered.

BFFF members may enter products in both the Retail AND Foodservice sectors. Both branded and own label products are eligible.

Products must be factory line produced (not kitchen samples) and available for sale at the time of entry.

Products may only be entered into the Awards once, unless a significant change has occurred e.g. a new flavour or variety.

Declared Recommended Retail Price should exclude special offers.

Please notify BFFF by 1st May 2018 of any changes that may affect a product’s eligibility between date of entry and announcement of results on 7th June 2018. This is very important for all concerned as the results really are kept a secret until announced at the Awards Presentation.

All retail entries must include a PDF of packaging plus a product image for marketing. All Foodservice entries must include a PDF of cooking instructions and an ingredients declaration plus product image for marketing.

It is the responsibility of the entrants to make their products available for collection ex-cold store, by 8th January 2018. Collection details and specific collection date will be notified the week before collections, which will take place from 8th-19th January 2018.

Products will not be accepted if supplied in polystyrene boxes. They should be sent in their usual outer cases with BFFF LABELS ATTACHED. Labels will be emailed on receipt of payment. A report detailing judging feedback is available at an additional charge of £40 VAT per product payable by fax, telephone, or cheque.

Please ensure you meet the criteria required before submitting your entry as we regret that refunds cannot be made for those failing to meet entry requirements.

The results of the consumer panels and the decisions of the foodservice judging panel will be final and no discussion will be entered into.

The organisers do not accept any responsibility for loss of any entry.

The Awards Ceremony will take place at the Federation’s Gala Dinner Dance on Thursday, 7th June 2018 at the Hilton on Park Lane, London, with tickets sold on a ‘first come – first served’ basis. No shortlist will be announced ahead of the ceremony.

Receipt of entry form and payment will constitute acceptance of the Terms and Conditions and no refunds can be made.
